So far, we have had two internal training workshops dealing with specific and crucial fields of work: fundraising and hosting/moderating the conference. Janosch Dietrich, our expert on fundraising, led the first training. Anna Veigel, our cultural communications expert, prepared us for the Kick-Off Conference at the end of September.
We now have a location for our Kick-Off Conference, where all partners from five participating countries will get together for the first time: Castle Wartin in Brandenburg/ Germany. The association “European Academy” organizes events at the castle, which serves as a project- and conference site for students from all over Europe: www.schloss-wartin.de
...or we are on board the Lovis. One of our most important partners is now confirmed: the sailing ship! Starting in July 2008, we will be sailing the Baltic Sea for three months with the 36 metre Lovis. We will be steering toward six festival ports, there will be an info centre on board the ship, and selected festival participants will be travelling on board. More infos about the ship Lovis at www.lovis.de!
On the 15th of January, we had our first internal workshop with Fiona Deuss-Frandi, our custodian from the EU. She explained the requirements of our contract and of EU funding in general to us. During the workshop, we also decided on the team structure of our organisation, as you can see in the picture.
Moviemiento, the Berlin-based association responsible for Moving Baltic Sea, was selected by the EU as “Best Practice Project” in both 2003 and 2005. This is what the EU says about Moviemiento (sorry, only in german)!
